The Sims 4: Island Living is the break your Sims deserve

The next Sims 4 expansion takes you to the tropical island you’ve always longed for.

Reality can be a pain and the human mind usually travels to those dream vacations that not everyone is able to afford. Luckily, you can go to a virtual tropical island when the next The Sims 4 expansion releases. It’s not quite the same thing, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers.

Island Living is the name of the next The Sims 4 expansion pack and if you count every single one including game packs and stuff packs, it’s already over a couple of dozen releases since Maxis’ dollhouse simulator launched in 2014. There is no shortage of content or different themes.

Watch the reveal trailer below to get a taste of some virtual pristine water – there’s even a Moana lookalike, in case you are familiar with the latest Disney princess.

The Sims 4: Island Living will take you to brand new world of sun, sand and… heaps of trash spread around the supposedly pristine beaches. On Sulani island, one of your tasks is to contribute to the preservation of the spectacular tropical island by picking up the trash – there’s a nice environmental message in there. You can also devote yourself to a career, choosing between lifeguard, fisherman or diver, or you can simply go for the occasional job.

But it would be a bummer if you spent all your time on this island working. Thankfully, there are several leisure activities for you to engage in, including building an awesome sandcastle, work on your tan, go for a swim or even set sail in your canoe. If you’re lucky you may even meet a mermaid!

Sulani island is a place filled with tradition and folklore and you can chat with the locals during a barbecue or while tasting the local delicacies. Obviously, you have a selection of tropical-inspired garb at your disposal, so that you can properly rock your island look.

These are just a few of the options available in Island Living. This expansion pack is coming to PC on June 21, while the Xbox One and PS4 releases are scheduled for July 16.
