PlayStation Plus Monthly Games Of December

December is here! Christmas is just around the corner and the new PlayStation Plus monthly lineup has arrived. This month we are treated to two diverse games: Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame. Big Mechs and dirt bikes, the perfect combination.

Titanfall 2

This isn’t the first time I’ve written about Titanfall 2 this year as a few months ago I had spoken about the history of the game and the recent rise in players which you can read here. Titanfall 2 combines fluid movement with enjoyable gameplay. The campaign is memorable because of the way the various story beats are interwoven with exciting set pieces.

The multiplayer on the other hand has a unique feel to it, the essence of which is captured more than anything by the movement. You can zip around the map like a grappling ballerina as you wall run along a building; grapple onto a metal strut and perform a death-defying swing to the other edge of the map. The loadout system allows you to create your own distinctive playstyle. Do you want holograms? You got it. Would you like to warp yourself into an interdimensional rift? You can do that too. Want to send yourself back to a previous moment in time? You know the answer; the list goes on and on. It’s this versatility that makes Titanfall 2‘s multiplayer stand out from the crowd.

Make sure to pick it up if you are a PlayStation Plus member, the campaign is worth it alone. If you like fast-paced gameplay, you’ll most likely love playing Titanfall 2.

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame

Up next on offer is a game that combines realistic bike racing with adrenaline-inducing gameplay as you ramp over mounds to get the lead off of your fellow riders. The game itself has many features that allow for player innovation; for example, there is a track editor that allows you to create your own tracks (a little like the Trial‘s series) which will have your personal flare implanted into them. There is furthermore a career mode as per usual and plenty of other features to play around with throughout December.

Conclusion

There you have it folks, another line-up for the month with games that will interest different kinds of players. As it’s December I hope that you all have a very merry Christmas when it arrives and a happy New Year! You’ll see me back in January with the next lineup. In 2020, that’s a whole new decade! Time does indeed surpass our understanding of its speed.

Thank you very much for reading and as always, have a lovely day!
